Leica Robotic Total Station

LEICA ROBOTIC TOTAL STATION

Leica Robotic Total Station

Due to popular demand, the Grid Point Training Academy offers a 1 day Leica Robotic Total Station course.

Site engineers are now expected to know how to use Robotic Total Stations. More and more site engineers have been contacting Grid Point requesting that we run a course that will provide the confidence to make the transition from traditional 2 man equipment. Grid Point runs the course with the Leica TS16.

The course adopts a flexible approach as we find some delegates have had some prior experience or have specific tasks they would like to master. The 1 day course is a mixture of both outdoor using the robotic itself and in the office understanding how to set up AutoCAD drawings and import/export to the controller unit. A knowledge of AutoCAD will greatly enhance your productivity when used in conjunction with a Robotic Total Station and practical exercises with AutoCAD are a significant element of the course.

1 Day Leica Robotic FAQs

  • Do I need to supply my own robotic?

Grid Point would normally supply a Leica TS16 - if you are supplying your own instrument please let Grid Point know.

  • What are the course hours?

The 1 day course normally runs from 09:00-16:30 with breaks for breakfast and lunch.

  • Do I need to supply a laptop?

It would be beneficial to bring your own laptop as part of the day will be spent understanding how to use the robotic with AutoCAD.

  • Where is the course held?

The course is normally held at our Wokingham office but we also travel to students offices and live construction projects.

  • Can I bring my own AutoCAD files to work with?

We encourage delegates to bring .dwg files from current projects, alternatively we can provide a range of AutoCAD files that cover various setting out scenarios.

  • What follow up support is available?

In additiona to the training manual for you to take away, a reasonable amount of follow up phone calls and emails are provided as part of the course.

  • Why a maximum of 4 to a course?

A maximum of 4 students per instructor provides a better experience as there is a lot more attention given to each individual.
